• In children, consider primary ciliary dyskinesia (PCD) or cystic fibrosis as differential diagnosis which could be confirmed by testing for nasal NO values. [Narang 2002] Read more on nasal NO measurements here.
A low NO measurement could also be indicative of a chronic lung disease due to prematurity. [Taylor 2006]
