Anders Williamsson

Chairman

Born1954. Chairman of the Board since 2007.
Anders Williamsson is also Chairman of Jolife AB, Glycorex Transplantation AB (publ), Nano Bridging Molecules SA, Biomain AB, AAA Teamwork AB and Provinsbanken in Helsingborg, Sweden. He is also a board member of Ambu A/S, Tigran Technologies AB and HTL-Strefa S.A. He was previously the CEO and a board member of HemoCue AB, HemoCue Holding AB and POCT Holding AB, CEO of Hemocue Inc., Atos Medical AB and deputy CEO of Pernovo AB. He has 30 years’ international experience of medical technology and life science. He has worked both in the USA and the UK. He has a B.Sc. (Econ.) from the University of Lund.

Scott A. Beardsley

Board Member

Born 1967. Board member since 2010. Scott brings 17 years of investment banking experience, including over a decade focused on the life sciences industry, to the Novo Growth Equity team. Prior to relocating to Copenhagen, Scott was a Managing Director at JP Morgan in San Francisco, heading the firm's West Coast biopharmaceuticals effort. Previous to that, Scott led Piper Jaffray's US biopharmaceutical investment banking practice and was a member of the Health Care Group at Montgomery Securities. During his tenure as an investment banker, Scott originated and executed numerous financing and advisory transactions. Scott holds an MBA from UCLA's Anderson Graduate School of Management and a BS from Colorado State University.

Lars Gustafsson

Board member

Born 1950. Board member since 1997.
Dr. Lars Gustafsson is one of the founders of Aerocrine. Dr. Gustafsson is Professor of Physiology at the Department of Physiology and Pharmacology at the Karolinska Institute and is active in research into the mechanisms behind the formation of nitric oxide (NO) in the airways and mechanisms identified with asthma. Dr. Gustafsson is CEO and Chairman of Attgeno AB and a board member of Nitrograf Bioanalys AB. Dr. Gustafsson has published a large number of papers on physiology and environmental medicine. He has a Doctor of Medicine degree in physiology from the Karolinska Institute and is a registered doctor.

Staffan Lindstrand

Born 1962. Board member since 1999.
Staffan Lindstrand is a partner in HealthCap, board member of HealthCap AB and other companies in the HealthCap sphere. He is also a board member of Biotage AB, Orexo AB, PulmonX Inc. and Technolas Perfect Vision GmbH. Before he joined HealthCap in 1997 he had around 10 years’ experience in investment banking. He has a B.Sc. (Eng) from Kungliga Tekniska Högskolan (KTH).

Education: Master’s degree in Political Sciences from the University of Gothenburg.
Experience: Rolf Classon has extensive experience from senior positions within the pharmaceutical and MedTech indutries including in Pharmacia, Bayer Diagnostics and as CEO of Bayer Healthcare. He has also been a divisional general manager in Swedish Match.

Education: Bachelor of Arts in biology from the Kalamazoo College, Michigan, USA.
Experience: Dennie Kane has over 30 years experience from sales and marketing of pharmaceuticals and diagnostics, including 20 years focused on allergy and asthma. He has led the US sales and marketing efforts supporting the growth of allergy testing for Phadia AB (formerly Pharmacia Diagnostics), and worked to build the disease management business and expand the usage of pharmacoeconomics for The Upjohn Company.

Yvonne Mårtensson has been CEO of Cellavision AB since 1998 and also has board assignments in the Cellavision Group and is a board member of Biolin Scientific AB.
