All Aerocrine devices use highly accurate chemiluminescence gas analyzers that can measure minute concentrations of NO, and incorporate NO scrubbers that eliminate atmospheric NO from the patient’s breath. NIOX MINO® is a more compact hand-held device, ideal for smaller clinics and healthcare centres. The NIOX MINO is intended for routine measurements, where it can be used to improve the diagnosis and management of asthma and other inflammatory airways conditions. The physician can use routine measurements of FENO to monitor response to therapy and predict relapses.
NIOX® Flex is the successor to NIOX, the first tailor-made device for measuring fractional exhaled nitric oxide (FENO). With a new operating system, enhanced data handling facilities and add-on research kits, the NIOX Flex is the ideal choice for research applications. The Nasal Research Kit allows measurement of nasal NO, while the FlexFlow Research Kit enables measurement of FENO at variable flow rates, and can therefore help to identify the location of inflammation. All NIOX users can upgrade their devices to NIOX Flex at the next service.
